I've had a long talk with my vet, and after weighing all the pros and cans and unknowns, I've pretty much decided to at least try the chemo. It's not going to be nearly as expensive as I'd feared - only about $70 a month for the next 6 months or so, if all goes well and there are minimal side effects. My vet says that you never know with cats. Some take it really well, some will be just miserable. If it makes Clyde miserable, we will stop immediately. If he was old, I wouldn't consider it even for a moment. But he's so young that he could still have his whole life ahead of him if the chemo works. It's all so iffy.

Anyway, we're no going to start until after I go off call again July 18th. So there's time to think about it some more.

I just want Clyde to be comfortable and happy for as long as he can be. But nobody really knows what the best way to do that will be.
